Figuring Herdsman Contest Points

1 point for each different Mini Lop winning Best and Best Opposite of Breed. This contest indicates how many different Mini Lops a breeder has won with for the year. The winner will receive a plaque. This applies to Open and Youth.

Figuring Top Lop Contest Points

Top Lop points belong to the rabbit and are to be transferred with the rabbit if it is sold assuming owners are MLRCA members. Top Lop points earned by the rabbit will stay specific to the sweepstakes division they are won in. Points earned by the rabbit in Open will be kept to the Open Sweepstakes and the same with Youth. Points earned cannot be combined or transferred to a different division. When a Top Lop rabbit is sold, the new owner must notify the sweepstakes chairperson in writing, including the previous owner's signature.

Best of Breed.............2 points x number of Mini Lops shown
Best Opp. of Breed...1 point x number of Mini Lops shown

Double point rule for ARBA convention and National Shows does not apply to the Top Lop Contest. The Top 10 Lops will be featured in the Advocate.

Figuring Quality Points

Points are calculated by taking the total accumulated sweepstakes pints divided by the number of shows attended.

Figuring District Breeder of the Year

Open and Youth
Best in Show.....4 points
Best in Reserve/4 Class.....3 points
Best of Breed.....2 points
Best Opp of Breed.....1 point

If BIS is won, you will not accumulate the 3 points for Best Reserve/4 Class, only 4 points for BIS. Awards will be given to the winner of each District.

The winners of any ties will be determined by the exhibitor with the lower number of shows for the year.

ARBA Conventions and MLRCA National Shows will receive double Sweepstakes points. If the Mini Lop is chosen for BIS at the ARBA Convention the 500 points will be doubled.
